One of the main reasons people get involved with the Liberal Democrats is because they have an interest in shaping our policy as members, as well as campaigning to play an active role in government.
The Policy Forum is a group of members who are particularly interested in arranging and attending discussions ranging from policy debates with other youth wings (Young Labour, Conservative Future) to talks from our MPs and Ministers.
The Policy Forum is open to all members, as are events, although every year 12 members will be elected to take a lead in arranging and publicising events.
Some of the events arranged so far include:
David Laws at LSE on ‘fusing social justice & economic liberalism’
Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne MP talk on Human Rights at SOAS
Debate & Drinks with Netherlands Young Liberal-Conservatives ‘JOVD’
Deputy Liberal Democrat Leader Simon Hughes with at UCL
Parliamentary Reception with Tessa Munt MP for Wells (Somerset)
